Taq Ventures
About

Why Taq exists.

Taq exists because service businesses don't need more generic marketing. They need a partner aligned with their sales and operational goals — who knows their market well enough to say what could move the needle.

So the strategy comes first — never the other way around. We outline how your buyers decide, and what they weigh you against, before anyone writes a line, takes a video, or signs up for a networking event.

Taq Ventures works as a general contractor for media, marketing, and sales. One accountable lead, real in-house capacity for strategy, photo, video, and design, and a bench of specialists we bring in and manage, so you deal with one contact instead of five.

Founder's perspective

How Taq Started.

I didn't start in marketing. I spent years in Alberta's industrial sector selling equipment, managing territories, and sitting across the table from contractors, project managers, and procurement teams. I know how those conversations go — who's actually making the decision, what they care about, and what gets a vendor taken seriously versus passed over.

What I kept seeing was contractors doing genuinely good work losing bids to competitors who just looked more credible on paper. Not because they were less capable — because they couldn't articulate what made them different. Their website was three years out of date. Their pitch materials were generic. Their brand didn't match what they could actually deliver.

Taq is built to close that gap, so the first thing a buyer sees of your business is as strong as the work you actually deliver.
