How much does this cost?

It depends on the scope of the engagement. Every business we talk to is different — the size of the operation, the state of the existing brand, and what actually needs to be built all factor in. We don't publish set rates because we don't believe in quoting before we understand what you're actually working with. Book a short video call and we'll give you a straight answer.

Can I see where my online presence stands before I talk to anyone?

Accepted Answer

Yes — run the free website grader. Enter your website and it scores twenty-six things buyers and search engines actually check, then ranks what to fix first. The whole report is on screen straight away: no email, no signup, nothing held back. If you want it as a PDF to print or forward we ask for your name and company first, but you never have to. Plenty of people run it, fix the obvious items themselves, and never contact us. That's fine — it's still the fastest way to find out whether you have a real problem.

What makes Taq Ventures different from a marketing agency?

We're not a marketing agency. Think of us as a general contractor for your media, marketing, and sales: one accountable lead who sets the strategy, does a good share of the work in-house — photo, video, design, and websites — and brings in and manages the specialists for the rest. Our background is in B2B sales and business development, so we work as a partner aligned with your sales and operational goals rather than a vendor filling an order. Before we build anything, we outline how your buyers decide, what they weigh you against, and what could actually move the needle in your market. The strategy comes first — never the other way around.

We've hired agencies before and got nothing out of it. Why would this be different?

Most agencies don't understand how B2B and trade buyers actually buy, who the real decision-makers are, or what a project manager or superintendent cares about when evaluating a contractor. We do — because we've been on that side of the table. That changes what we recommend, what we build, and how we position you.

Established business-to-business companies in Western Canada — trades, construction, and service businesses, often doing $2M to $20M in annual revenue — who are doing good work but whose brand, website, and sales materials don't reflect it. What actually happens on the video call?

It's a short conversation, not a pitch deck. We ask what you're working on, where the work currently comes from, and what's not converting. You'll get our read on it before you spend anything — including the times we tell you the problem isn't marketing, or that we're not the right fit. No forms disappearing into a queue and no sales sequence afterward.

How long does this take?

It depends what we're building. Strategy and brand work moves in weeks, not months. Websites and sales collateral run longer because they wait on your input — photos, project details, and sign-off. Search visibility is the slow one: local listing fixes can go live almost immediately, but ranking movement builds over three to six months. We'll give you a timeline tied to your actual scope before you commit, not a generic one.

Do you replace our marketing person, or work with them?

Either. If you have someone in-house, we usually give them a strategy to execute against and take on the specialist work they can't cover — and we'll coach them rather than talk around them. If you don't, we run point ourselves, shoot and edit your photos and videos in-house, and coordinate any outside print, fabrication, or media-buying specialists so you deal with one contact instead of five.

Who owns everything when we're done?

You do — your website, your Google Business Profile, your accounts, your files. We don't hold logins hostage and we don't lock you into a platform you can't leave. If you ever move on, everything comes with you.

Can we customize the scope, or start small?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We scope each engagement around where you are and what you need, and plenty of clients start with one piece — a brand strategy, a website, a local search cleanup — before deciding whether to do more. If what you need doesn't match how we've packaged things, we'll tell you and build something that does.

Question 11

What kind of results can we expect and how quickly?

Accepted Answer

Depends on what we're solving. Some clients see new conversations and RFQ opportunities within 60-90 days of completing a brand strategy shift. Website traffic and SEO results take longer — typically 3-6 months to build momentum. We'll be direct with you about what to expect and when before you sign anything.

Do you work with companies outside Edmonton and Alberta?

Yes. We work with businesses across Western Canada, including remote site work in construction, oil and gas, and environmental services. If you're outside Alberta and not sure if we're a fit, just ask.
